A service plan built around your generator
FW Power provides maintenance contracts for diesel generators across the UK. We take account of the generator manufacturer, operating duty, hours, installation environment and the importance of the supported loads when preparing a proposal.
What a maintenance proposal can include
Scheduled inspections can cover the engine, lubricating system, fuel system, cooling system, alternator, controls, starting batteries and battery charger. Oil and filter changes, load bank testing and other tasks are specified in the agreed service schedule. The existing FW Power service offering includes twice-yearly inspections with annual oil and filter changes, subject to the equipment’s actual needs.
Standby does not mean maintenance-free
A generator that runs infrequently can still develop battery, fuel, cooling or control faults. Regular inspections and agreed functional testing help identify issues before the equipment is needed during a power failure. For prime power, service intervals must also follow operating hours and the manufacturer’s instructions.
Clear scope and practical support
Send the generator make, model, kVA, location, operating hours and any existing service records. We will prepare a maintenance proposal defining visits, tasks and any additional testing. Telephone engineering support is available to contracted customers within the agreed service arrangements.
